Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge
Famous for its majesty, oddness, steepness, and precipitousness, Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri-La is 23 km in length, more than 20 m in the narrowest part of river, 1,800 m3 per second in average flow, 213 m gradient, and 3,900 m in elevation difference. As famous as the Colorado Grand Canyon and the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon, it is the fourth largest gorge in the world, the second largest in China, and the largest along the 10,000-li Yangtze River as well as a national AAAA tourist attraction.
