On May 1st, Tiger Leaping Gorge makes a strong return!
In order to provide visitors with the ultimate scenic experience and enrich their travel experience, from November 1, 2020, to the end of April 2021, the Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic area underwent more than six months of closed upgrades and renovations. The first phase has been basically completed, with significant improvements in transportation infrastructure, making it more convenient and smoother. The installation of the Tiger Leaping Gorge escalator project has greatly enhanced the scenic area's infrastructure, providing a direct connection from the 1800-meter Jinsha River surface to the visitor distribution square, with a transport capacity of 6000 people per hour. This offers visitors a quick, convenient, safe, and comfortable touring service, allowing elderly, weak, and young visitors to also witness the "majestic grandeur" of Tiger Leaping Gorge. An IP image of the scenic area has been created with elements of tiger culture, which will provide a rich array of IP cultural and creative products, significantly enhancing the visitor experience.

The Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic area in Shangri-La will reopen on May 1.
According to the news from Wenlv Toutiao (media reporter Tian Weixing, text/pictures), on April 27, the reporter learned from the Shangri-La Huxiujia Tourism Management Co., Ltd. in Diqing Prefecture that the Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge scenic area will officially open to the public at 8:00 AM on May 1, 2021, welcoming tourists from both inside and outside the province.

Notice: The expansion and reconstruction of Huxiang Highway is a key livelihood project in Diqing Prefecture. Its significance lies in comprehensively improving the road traffic environment within the prefecture, supporting social and economic development, aiding poverty alleviation, and promoting social harmony and stability. Since the Huxiang Line runs through the Huxiang Scenic Area of Shangri-La, Diqing Prefecture (hereinafter referred to as: the Company), it is also the only access to the Huxiang Scenic Area. The construction of the project has brought traffic safety hazards and other inconveniences to the normal operation of the Company’s scenic area.
